After almost 6 years with the band BIG IN IOWA, Rick House has got his own act together.

BIG IN IOWA
During Rick's tenure with BIG IN IOWA, they recorded 4 studio albums and 1 live CD. BIG IN IOWA were also featured on numerous compilation and collector disks including THIS NOTE'S FOR YOU TOO (a tribute to Neil Young) and Larry Goshorn's CINCINNATI SHADES OF BLUE VOLUME 2.

Rick won the "Cammy Award" presented by the Cincinnati Enquirer twice. In both 1999 and 2000, Rick won BEST ROCK INSTRUMENTALIST in Cincinnati for his work on the guitar.

After arriving home from BIG IN IOWA's second tour of Europe, Rick decided he could no longer fulfill the band's need to tour (across the country and international) to promote their music. Rick left BIG IN IOWA to start his own project allowing him to spend more time at home.

RICK HOUSE BAND
Rick has teamed up with long time friend and keyboardist Bob Kennedy to form the RICK HOUSE BAND. Their song list is heavy on variety and dance to get the party started. You can hear music from the 1960s (Beatles and CCR), the 1970s and 1980s (Eagles, Tom Petty and Pink Floyd). Or you can rock out to newer stuff from Dave Matthews, Creed or Lenny Kravitz. The RICK HOUSE BAND have been known to play a few country songs for the serious variety audience. Or, you can sing along with a Jimmy Buffet song... Request something and the RICK HOUSE BAND can probably play it.

In October of 2002, BIG IN IOWA went on hiatus. At that time Jeff Wilson was added to the RICK HOUSE BAND on drums. Jeff is an accomplished musician who has also played with SONNY MOORMAN, as well as the CINCINNATI BLUES ALL STARS.
